Corporate Guardianship Services
Corporate Guardian is an entity that has been qualified by the state to provide guardianship services as specified by a court order and by state statues. They are appointed by a court to act on behalf of individuals found to have a functional impairment in decision-making and/or communication that meets the legal standards for a finding of” incompetence.”
1.) Guardianship of the Person – A court appoints guardianship for the person who needs a guardian to make some or all decisions related to the individual person, such as, decisions related to medical care or support services and/or where to live.
2.) Guardianship of Estate – These may include enrollment of the appropriate benefits and services on that individual’s behalf, provide financial services, including tax filing; reporting to the Social Security Administration (SSA); Economic Support; VA and other social service agencies as needed. Protect assets, protect property & assets from loss. Complete an annual account to the court, file a final accounting & distribute funds properly when an individual (ward) passes or the guardianship has expired.
Conservatorship Services – Court appointed to manage and make financial decisions for the person.
VA Fiduciary Services – Approved by the Veterans Administration to receive benefits for a veteran, manage those benefits, and pay their bills. These funds are typically kept separate from other sources of income. File annual accounting to the VA to prove how those benefits have been spent on the needs of the veteran.
